Volleyball Hosts Southern VA

STAUNTON, VA - The Mary Baldwin University volleyball team fell in straight sets this evening to Southern Virginia University in a non-conference match up.

The visitors executed an almost flawless offense committing just 6 errors in the match.  The balanced attack was led by Kaely Rath who tallied 10 kills in 14 attempts.  Delaney Layton led the defense with 9 digs.

Freshman Michaela Beverly led Mary Baldwin with 2 kills while Brenda Korlison led the defense with 6 digs. 

Mary Baldwin University, 0-11 (0-0 USAS), opens conference play next week at Averett University on Wednesday evening then travels to Meredith College for a quad match on Saturday.
