SALISBURY, Md. – The Mary Baldwin men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Salisbury University to take part in the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday morning.
The women finished in 10th place as Brianna Parker led the squad with a time of 26:00.2. She scored inside the top 50 of the event and the time sits as the sixth-best 6K mark in Mary Baldwin program history. Stephanie Barbaro finished with a time of 26:36.6, while Quinland Musgrove crossed the finish line in 26:50.9. Morgan Laferte finished with a time of 27:51.9 and Katelyn Pollock rounded out the scoring runners with a time of 29:38.2.
The men finished in 15th place overall for the event as Romaijn Williams completed the 8K course in a time of 36:48.3. Paul Dearing finished with a time of 37:17.4 while Gregory Woodard crossed the finish line with a time of 37:30.3, Joseph Widger with a time of 37:32.2 as Douglas Drummond rounded out the scoring with a time of 43:27.4.
The Fighting Squirrels will return to action on October 19, when they travel to Frederick, Md. to participate in the Hood College Open.
