Bailey Montana joins the staff at Mary Baldwin University with an extensive background as a player and a coach. Bailey began her career as a setter for Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax Virginia. As she continued to grow in her love for the game she was a player for both NVVA and Metro Volleyball clubs.Â
In 2009 Bailey started her collegiate career as a setter for Division I Radford University in Radford VA. While at Radford she majored in Exercise/Sport and Health Education with a minor in Biology. Bailey would then continue her career ambition of attaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy after graduation after graduating from Radford's program in 2017.
In 2015 Bailey began coaching with Next Revolution Volleyball of Roanoke as an assistant for both 17 and 18 Open teams. She continued to work with training setters for the club and assisted with recruiting duties while on staff. She then continued coaching after relocation for Sandhills Volleyball and Grand Strand Juniors Volleyball club.Â
Coach Montana joins the MBU Volleyball staff where she will assist with recruiting, practice development and will focus on development of the program's offensive schemes as well as training the team's setters. "I am so excited to be reuniting with Coach McCoy at Mary Baldwin University. I cannot wait to help build a high level program and to assist student athletes succeed on the court and in the classroom".
Coach Montana is married to her husband Chris and will reside in Staunton Virginia with her two daughters.Â
