Mary Baldwin University

Elena Guy returns to Mary Baldwin University as an assistant women’s soccer coach for the 2026 season, bringing her experience as a former Fighting Squirrel player and educator back to the program.

Prior to her return to Mary Baldwin, Guy spent one season coaching varsity women’s soccer at Wilson Memorial High School. As a player, Guy began her collegiate career at Huntingdon College, where she spent two seasons before transferring to Mary Baldwin. Throughout her collegiate career, Guy was a two-time USA South Second Team selection at forward and was named a D3 Hero of the Week. She played three seasons for the Fighting Squirrels from 2019-2021.

Guy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education from Mary Baldwin University. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University and is currently pursuing an Education Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision PK-12 from Old Dominion University.

Outside of coaching, Guy is a full-time kindergarten teacher with Waynesboro Public Schools.
