The Mary Baldwin College volleyball team traveled to Greensboro today to participate in the day's tri-match. Mary Baldwin first faced Greensboro and lost in a very tough match, 3-2. Freshman Meagan Barron led the squirrels with 11 kills, followed by Sophomore Tiffany Flescher and Freshman LaToya Diggs with 9 kills each. Junior Paige Babb had 32 assists, and Senior Candace Pettway-Proffit had 30 digs.

In the second match, MBC faced NC Wesleyan College who is currently 4th in the USA South Conference standings.  This match proved not to be as close as the first as the Fighting Squirrels lost in three 25-12, 25-12, and 25-11.  Sophomore Tiffany Flesher led MBC in kills with 5 followed closely by Freshmen Meagan Barron, Kharla Bethea, and LaToya Diggs who each had 4 kills.  Junior Paige Babb finished the second match with 18 assists and also led the team with 9 digs.  

The Fighting Squirrels host Ferrum on Wednesday evening as they celebrate Senior Night on their final home match of the season.
