Roanoke, VA - Shanice Miles scored 22 points, including 13 of 17 from the free throw line, to give Mary Baldwin a 69-65 season opener win over Hollins University.  The Fighting Squirrels built a 11 point lead at the half and held on as Hollins' 46.7% shooting from behind the arc kept them alive.  Mary Baldwin enjoyed a 25 point advantage from the free throw line as the Fighting Squirrels sank 33 of 46 attempts.  Junior Shamanda Washington added 14 points while Senior Sabrina Desper chipped in 11 points and pulled down 9 rebounds.  

Mary Baldwin will be back in action Friday evening at the EMU Tip-Off Classic.  Tip-off is 6:00PM.
