Newport News, VA - In their first USA South conference game of the season, Mary Baldwin lost to Christopher Newport University 39-68.  

The Captains (5-0, 1-0 USA South) jumped out to a 15-0 lead and never looked back outscoring the Fighting Squirrels 35-13 at the half.  Senior Sabrina Desper led MBC with 19 points while Senior Crystal Lewis added 7 rebounds.

Mary Baldwin (2-2, 0-1 USA South) will travel to Greensboro College in their second USA South contest on Saturday before taking some time off for the break.
