Mary Baldwin College hosted Meredith College and Averett University Sunday for a USA South Trimatch. In the first match, MBC took on teh Avenging Angels of Meredith. Meredith won the match 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-10, 25-18). Sophomore Tiffany Flesher led MBC with 10 kills followed closely by Freshman Meagan Barron and Freshman Kharla Bethea with 8 each. Junior Setter Paige Babb finished with 27 assists while Senior Libero Candace Pettway-Proffit led the defense with 21 digs. The Fighting Squirrels fall 1-10 overall, while Meredith is 9-3.
