Mary Baldwin College hosted Shenandoah University this evening in a USA South Conference matchup.  The Hornets looked strong as they won the first game 25-11 with 11 kills and only 2 errors.  The Fighting Squirrels improved their offense but fell short 25-22 in the second game.  The final game remained close throughout but Shenandoah prevailed 28-26.  The win improves Shenandoah University's record to 6-4 (2-2 USA South) while Mary Baldwin falls to 1-12 (0-5 USA South.)  Senior Libero Candace Pettway again led the Fighting Squirrels with 16 digs while Freshman Kharla Bethea led the offense with 7 kills.  Mary Baldwin will be on the road this weekend as the travel to Fayetteville, NC looking for their first conference win as they take on Methodist University and Peace College on Sunday.
