Staunton, VA - The Mary Baldwin College soccer team ended their season this afternoon with an 0-8 loss to Christopher Newport University on their home field. 

Emma O'Reilly scored three goals in under six minutes to give Christopher Newport the lead on their way to the 8-0 win.  Dani Gunderson added the 4th goal at the 9:00 mark when she scored from an excellent cross by Jackie Bond. 

The next two goals for the Captains were scored off of corner kicks.  The first by Erin O'Shaughnessy when she kicked the ball in after it was deflected off of the goalkeeper.  Bupe Okeowo scored directly off of Chelsea Wolfe's well placed corner kick.

Christopher Newport's 7th and final goal in the first half came when Jackie Bond took an easy shot down the middle as Priscilla Harrison crossed the ball in excellent position for the score.

The Captains final goal came in the second half when Joy Piirto dribbled in and scored off of a 12 yard shot.

Kayla Childers held the goal for Mary Baldwin in the first half while Clarissa Swanerbury did so in the second half.  Swanerbury had one save.

The Fighting Squirrels end their season 4-11 (0-11 USA South.)
