Greensboro Defeats MBC 7-0

Staunton, VA - Greensboro College easily defeated Mary Baldwin 7-0 this afternoon in soccer to improve their record to 5-6.

Allison Gibson scored two goals in the first half to give Greensboro the 2-0 lead.  The Pride outshot Mary Baldwin 12-1 in the first 45 minutes.

With less than a minute into the second half, Greensboro added two more goals to take a comfortable 4-0 lead.  The first gave Gibson her third and final goal for the afternoon.  The second, by Tiffany Walters, was assisted by Meredith Kelly.

Walters would score again at the 53:37 mark when she was once again assisted by Meredith Kelly. 

Brittany Crawford scored her first goal of the season at the 62:18 minute mark giving Greensboro a 6-0 lead. 

Greensboro's final goal of the afternoon was scored when Melanie Raton passed to Tiffany Walters giving her an easy shot into the net. 

Kayla Childers anchored the goal for injured GK Erin Dullahan.  She finished with 5 saves.

Mary Baldwin (4-6, 0-6 USAS) will host Meredith College next Saturday and Peace College next Sunday.  Both games start at 2:00PM.
