Box Score STAUNTON, VA - Mary Baldwin College fell to 0-6 this evening
after losing to Randolph College 28-84 in a non-conference
matchup.
The Fighting Squirrels held the lead early until Megan Russell
tied the game at 4-4 with 15:42 remaining in the first half.
The Wildcats then outscored MBC 31-6 to take a comfortable
lead after the first twenty minutes. Randolph shot 41.7% from
the floor while Mary Baldwin could only make 14.3% of their
attempts from the floor.
In the second half, Randolph continued to build their lead
shooting an impressive 53.3% from behind the arc.
The home team was plagued by turnovers committing 33 in the 40
minute game. Randolph took advantage of the errors scoring 38
points off of the turnovers. The Wildcats also dominated the
inside scoring 26 points in the paint.
The Fighting Squirrels will have next week off to take exams.
After exams, they travel to Shenandoah for a non-conference
matchup before heading home for the holidays.
