USA South Teams Support 'Play 4Kay' Week

Box Score
(FAYETTEVILLE, NC) - The USA South Athletic Conference's basketball teams participated in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) "Play 4Kay". This program is an opportunity for a nation of coaches to raise breast cancer awareness and funds for research on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The official charity is the Kay Yow Cancer Fund in partnership with The V Foundation and Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA).
USA South institutions chose multiple ways to participate in the initiative. Many teams collected money through donations and merchandise sales and gave that collection to various organizations such as the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and other local organizations for breast cancer awareness and support. Additionally, many teams incorporated pink in their uniforms in the form of pink socks, pink shoelaces, pink warm-up shirts and custom-made pink jerseys. Please visit your local institution's athletic website for information on their involvement in the "Play 4Kay" initiative.
