Roanoke, VA - The Mary Baldwin College volleyball team lost to Roanoke College 0-3 (26-24, 25-16, 25-12) this evening in Roanoke.  The victory extends Roanoke's win streak to six games while MBC falls to 0-7.

In the first set, Roanoke built an 18-9 lead and won 26-24 despite a 14-5 run by Mary Baldwin. The Maroons took the second set 25-16 after again building a convincing lead. In the final set, Roanoke went on a 16-4 run to ensure the 3-0 shutout.

Sophomore Karla Bethea led MBC in kills with 5.  She was followed closely by Jonquil Brown and Tiffany Flesher with 4 each.  Senior setter Paige Babb finished with 14 assists.  

Defensively, LaToya Diggs had 12 digs while Freshman Kayla Wheeler added 9.

The Fighting Squirrels will have the weekend off before hosting Lynchburg College next Thursday at 7:00PM.
