Fayetteville, NC - Mary Baldwin jumped out to an early lead this afternoon against Methodist University before losing 5-1.

Caitlin Novak scored at the 19:22 mark to give Mary Baldwin the early 1-0 lead.  The Fighting Squirrels held the lead until Jessie Oder tied the game at the 37:13 mark.  Although Methodist had 15 shots to Mary Baldwin's 1, the teams went into the half with the score 1-1.

In the second half, Methodist scored two quick goals within little more than a minute apart to take control of the game 3-1.  Methodist continued to outshoot MBC finishing with 30 shots to Mary Baldwin's 3.  The Monarch's final two goals also came close together when Kelly Wolz scored at the 80:11 minute mark and the 82:47 minute mark.

Freshman goalie Erin Dullahan finished the game with 12 saves.

Mary Baldwin (4-5-0, 0-4 USAS) will continue conference play next Saturday when they host Greensboro at 1:00pm.
