Box Score Staunton, VA - The Mary Baldwin College volleyball team lost to
Eastern Mennonite University this afternoon in straight sets 23-25,
18-25, and 11-25.
In the first set, Mary Baldwin kept the game close by having 10
kills to EMU's 8 kills but struggled to keep the lead in the end.
The Royals came back in the final two sets with 13 and 12
kills while the Fighting Squirrels could only manage 3 in each
set.
Sophomore Kharla Bethea led MBC with 6 kills. Both
Sophomore Sara Valdivieso and Paige Babb added 5 assists each.
Sophomore LaToya Diggs led with 12 digs while freshman libero
Kayla Wheeler added 9 digs.
Mary Baldwin(0-6, 0-0 USA South) will be back in action Thursday
evening at Roanoke in their only match next week.
