GREENSBORO, NC - Maryville College and Covenant College handed Mary Baldwin a couple of 3-0 losses today in USA South volleyball action.  Maryville College defeated Mary Baldwin (25-14, 25-19, 25-7) while Covenant College also held the Fighting Squirrels winless taking the three game set 25-15, 25-8, 25-10.

In the first match, Maryville College pounded 36 kills and 18 service aces as they easily defeated the Fighting Squirrels.

Katelyn Rice finished the match with 6 kills while Jessica Hickman added 5 for MBC.  Sara Valdivieso had 10 assists and 12 digs.

In the second match, the story was simple.  Covenant College had 32 kills while only committing 9 errors while Mary Baldwin could only put down 13 kills while committing 24 errors.

Katelyn Rice again led the team in kills with 8 while also having 12 digs.  Sara Valdivieso contirbuted 8 assists.

Mary Baldwin College (0-22, 0-12 USAS) host N.C. Wesleyan Tuesday night at 7:00PM.
