WESTMINSTER, MD - Mary Baldwin College fell to Goucher College this afternoon in the consulation game of the McDaniel College Tip-Off Tournament 56-74.

The two teams battled throughout the first half.  Shanice Miles then tied the game at 5:17 when she sank a three-point shot.  Goucher took the lead once again but Mary Baldwin pulled back to within two just before the half with a lay-up by Shantelle Jennings.

Lindsey Poirot sank a jumper to tie the game when the second half began.  Goucher then built a 10 point lead in the next four minutes of that half.  They continued to dominate gaining a 50-35 advantage at the 13:45 mark.  Mary Baldwin couldn't overcome the deficit in the remaining minutes.

Freshman Imani Hill led the Fighting Squirrels with 15 points.  She was followed closely by Shanice Miles with 13 points.  Lindsey Poirot finished with 9 rebounds.  Imani Hill, Shanice Miles, and Precious Parker pulled down 7 each.

Next, Mary Baldwin College 0-2 (0-0 USAS) travel to Roanoke to take on Hollins University Tuesday evening.
