MBC Volleyball Drops Two on the Road

RALEIGH, NC - The Mary Baldwin Volleyball Team traveled to Raleigh, NC today for a USA South Quad Match at William Peace University.  The Fighting Squirrels lost both matches 0-3.

In the first match, N.C. Wesleyan College won 25-17, 25-17, 25-22.  Although the games were close early, the Bishops were able to put together a number of runs and pull away from the Fighting Squirrels.

Latoya Diggs led the offense with 12 kills.  She was followed closely by Katelyn Rice with 10.  Reilly Kelly added 27 assists.  Defensively, Katelyn Rice led with 12 digs.  She was followed closely by Sara Valdivieso with 11.  

In the second match of the day, William Peace University won more easily 25-14, 25-15, 25-16.  The Pacers finished with 33 total kills and were able to capitalize on Mary Baldwin's errors.

Katelyn Rice led the Fighting Squirrels with 10 kills.  She was followed by Latoya Diggs with 8.  Reilly Kelly added 16 assists while Sara Valdivieso had 6 digs.

Mary Baldwin College falls to 0-10 (0-3 USAS).  They host Roanoke College at home Tuesday evening at 7:00pm.
