Box Score STAUNTON, VA - Randolph College defeated Mary Baldwin College
3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-13) this evening in a non-conference match
up.
The visitors were led by sophomore Marissa McClinton who
finished with 9 of 32 total kills (.471) for the Wildcats.
Junior Latoya Diggs
matched her efforts finishing with 9 kills for MBC. Diggs was
followed closely by Katelyn Rice
who added 8 kills in her 25 attacks. Rice and Diggs also
combined for 24 digs while junior libero Sara
Valdivieso added 12. Setter Reilly Kelly
finished the night with 19 assists.
When asked about the first home match, Head Coach Paul Yee was
pleased with his young team's performance. "Our outside hitters did
a great job passing and hitting for their season best. Reilly
made some great sets in tough situations to help create for our
hitters. I thought we played some good defense overall as
well."
Randolph College improves to 4-1 this season while Mary Baldwin
falls to 0-5.
The Fighting Squirrels return to Eastern Mennonite University
Thursday night. The match starts at 7:00pm.
