Nationally Ranked Ferrum College Defeats Mary Baldwin

Box Score

FERRUM, VA - Ferrum College showed tonight why they sit at the top of the USA South Women's Basketball standings with a 110-40 win over Mary Baldwin.

The nationally-ranked Panthers had little trouble defeating the Fighting Squirrels who played with only five players due to injuries and one player's absence.

Ferrum used their size to control the boards, outrebounding Mary Baldwin 53-15.  The home team also used their height advantage to score 44 points in the paint shooting an impressive 56% from the floor.

Head Coach Bryan Harvey substituted freely finishing the night with eight players in double figures. The only Panther to have a double-double tonight was Staunton native Kemani Crawford who finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Senior Shanice Miles continued her hot streak of late for Mary Baldwin scoring 24 points this evening. Miles is currently averaging 20.75 points in the last four games.

Mary Baldwin College (0-14, 0-8 USAS) will be on the road this weekend facing Meredith College and William Peace University.
