Box Score 2 MARYVILLE, TN - Maryville College and Covenant College remain at
the top of the USA South Athletic Conference South Division in
women's volleyball with wins over Mary Baldwin College and
Greensboro College today in a Quad Match at Maryville College.
Mary Baldwin College fell to Maryville College 0-3 (9-25, 9-25,
18-25) in the first match of the day.
Errors plagued the Fighting Squirrels while Maryville hit an
impressive .338 for the match.
Katelyn Rice continued to lead Mary Baldwin's offense finishing
with 7 kills. Reilly Kelly added 13 assists while Xenna
Belfield and Jessica Hickman finished with 5 and 4 digs
respectively.
In Mary Baldwin's second match against Covenant, the Fighting
Squirrels improved their offense but fell in three sets (14-25,
11-25, 16-25).
Katelyn Rice again led the Fighting Squirrels with 7 kills but
was followed by Reilly Kelly and Jessica Hickman who added 5
each. Reilly Kelly also tallied 10 assists while Hickman led
the defense with 8 digs. Reilly Kelly, Katelyn Rice, and
Xenna Belfield added 5 digs each.
Mary Baldwin College 0-22 (0-12 USA South) travels to N.C.
Wesleyan College on Wednesday before returning home on Thursday for
a non-conference matchup with Roanoke College.
