STAUNTON, VA - The Methodist Monarchs improved their record to 6-5-2 this afternoon when they defeated Mary Baldwin College 5-0 in women's soccer.

Taylor Cavazos quickly put the Monarchs in the lead scoring less than 5 minutes into the game.  Cavazos added her second goal at the 19:53 minute mark giving Methodist a 2-0 lead.

The Monarchs added a third goal before the half and the final two goals in the second half to take the USA South Conference win.

Hayley Gillian was the goalkeeper for Mary Baldwin for the entire 90 minutes and finished with 7 saves.

Mary Baldwin College 2-11 (0-9 USAS) continue play on Tuesday traveling to N.C. Wesleyan College to make up the game that was rescheduled due to weather last week.
