Box Score 2 RALEIGH, NC - The Mary Baldwin College volleyball team completed
their season this afternoon in their final USA South quad match at
Meredith College.
In the first match, Mary Baldwin College lost to Methodist
University in straight sets (16-25, 3-25, 10-25).
The Fighting Squirrels struggled to get their offense going
tallying just 10 kills for the match. Katelyn Rice and
Kennedy Quick each finished with 3 kills while Reilly Kelly added 5
assists. Kenia-Castro Cantu led the defense with 11 digs.
Mary Baldwin's final match was a complete turnaround as the
Fighting Squirrels took the first set from Meredith Colllege who
currently sits at the top of the USA South north division.
Mary Baldwin eventually fell to the Avenging Angels 25-22, 15-25,
6-25, and 17-25.
Katelyn Rice tallied 14 kills. Farrah Fullerton and
Kennedy Quick added 6 and 4 kills respectively. Reilly Kelly
finished with 14 assists while senior Sara Valdivieso added
10. Defensively, McKayla Scott had 12 digs while Rice added
9. Reilly Kelly and Jessica Hickman each added 8.
Mary Baldwin College finishes the season 1-28 (1-17 USAS).
