Raleigh, NC - William Peace University controlled the boards today and defeated Mary Baldwin College 75-45 in a USA South Conference game.

The Pacers grabbed an early lead then Shanice Miles sank a three point shot to bring the Fighting Squirrels to within 2 at the 11:35 mark.  The home team then went on a 15-7 run in the next 5 minutes to build a 30-20 lead.  

Mary Baldwin outshot Peace in the first half but the Pacers took advantage of Mary Baldwin fouls making 16 of 23 from the charity stripe.

The Fighting Squirrels then went cold to start the second half watching Peace build their lead outscoring MBC 31-5 in the first 14 minutes.

Although Mary Baldwin shot well, Peace took advantage of their offensive boards and MBC turnovers scoring 20 second chance points and 33 points off of turnovers.

Shanice Miles continued to lead the team in scoring finishing with 19 points.  Dallas Hamlette scored in double figures for the second time this season with 10 points today.  Precious Parker lead the team in rebounds grabbing 7.

Mary Baldwin College (0-15, 0-9 USAS) will finish their weekend road trip in Raleigh when they take on Meredith College Sunday at 2:00pm.
