Head Coach Homes Tehrani said, "We had lots of injuries and had
players playing in positions they just weren't used to
playing. It took us 20 minutes to settle in but it was too
late. However, we played much better in the second
half. We had several golden opportunties to score but we
didn't capitalize on those opportunities. We are still trying
to learn each other's movements and we are a young team.
Several players really stepped up. Johanna, Phoebe, and
Lizette all played really well. We played a very good
organized team. We are looking forward to the next game."
Assistant Coach Sarah Jerome added, "The first half was rough
with a 3-0 halftime score but we tied 1-1 in the second half.
Lizette, Phoebe, and Johanna had fantastic games. Jannelly
easily put away the PK she earned. We are not satisfied with
the way we played because we have much to accomplish and work
toward, but for the first game, we began to play as a team and made
some good connecting passes that just couldn't get through."
