STAUNTON, VA - The Mary Baldwin College soccer team defeated Hollins 8-0 this afternoon in a non-conference match up.

The Fighting Squirrels dominated the game outshooting Hollins 37-1.  Jannelly Ramos scored Mary Baldwin's first goal from a pass by Alicia Gleaves about 15 minutes into the game.  Mayzie Lewis quickly followed giving the home team a 2-0 lead. 

Ramos and Lewis added their second goals minutes later to give Mary Baldwin a decisive 4-0 lead. 

Johanna Brann, Bailey McWilliams, and Bridget Lane scored their first goal of the season and gave the Fighting Squirrels a 7-0 halftime lead.

Head Coach Homes Tehrani used the opportunity to substitute freely and give each of his goalies time in the game.

Alicia Gleaves added Mary Baldwin's final goal at the 88:27 minute mark posting the final 8-0 score.

Mary Baldwin College (2-2, 0-0 USA South) begin their USA South Conference competition this weekend when they travel to LaGrange College on Saturday and Huntingdon College on Sunday.
