Box Score 2 HUNTINGDON, AL - The Mary Baldwin College volleyball team finished their season on the road today with a pair of USA South matches at Huntingdon College.
Mary Baldwin lost the morning match 1-3 to Huntingdon College then fell to LaGrange College 0-3 in the final match of the day.
Huntingdon took the first set 25-13. In the second set, Mary Baldwin tied the match with a 25-17 win playing one of their best sets of the year. The Fighting Squirrels hit an impressive .370 tallying 12 kills.
The Hawks answered in the third set winning 25-14 then hung on to win in the fourth set 26-24.
Huntingdon was led by Bria Rochelle who tallied 11 kills. Audrianna Hargitt and Ashley Childs followed with 8 and 7 kills respectively.
Katelyn Rice led Mary Baldwin with 14 kills. She was followed closely by Jessica Hickman who added 10 kills. Reilly Kelly tallied 34 assists and also led the defense with 18 digs. Xenna Belfield followed closely with 16 digs.
In the final match of the season, LaGrange College defeated Mary Baldwin 3-0 (25-10, 25-23, 25-17).
Rice again led Mary Baldwin with 11 kills. Samantha McGee added 7 kills. Reilly Kelly tallied 24 assists while Xenna Belfield led the defense with 20 digs.
Mary Baldwin College finishes the season 2-29 (0-19 USA South).
