Buena Vista, VA - Southern Virginia University used a full court press to defeat Mary Baldwin 95-62 this evening in women's basketball.

The Knights took advantage of the turnovers that the press created scoring 30 points off of the errors.  The pressure also created easy baskets for the home team.  Southern VA shot just shy of 50% from the floor and outrebounded Mary Baldwin 50-24.

Morgan Hartvigsen and Larissa Macfarlane led Southern VA with 19 points each.  Macfarlane also grabbed 8 rebounds.

Mary Baldwin was led by Kaybria Johnson with a season-high 25 points.  Rakeema Willis added a career-high 15 points. 

Teanny Peavy grabbed 5 rebounds for Mary Baldwin while Kearsten Brazeal tallied 4 boards.

Mary Baldwin College 0-4 (0-0 USAS) will take a break for the holiday before returning to action next Wednesday night against Ferrum College in their first USA South matchup.
