Box Score 2 GREENSBORO, NC - The Mary Baldwin College volleyball team dropped a pair of USA South Conference matches today at a quad match at Greensboro College.
The Fighting Squirrels fell to Meredith College, 0-3 (8-25, 17-25, 17-25) and Methodist University, 0-3 (22-15, 20-25, 17-25).
Meredith, who currently sits at the top of the north division, was led by Karlie Long who tallied 11 kills and Emily Hendricks who followed closely with 10. Katie Keen added 18 assists.
Katelyn Rice led Mary Baldwin with 7 kills. She was followed closely by Samantha McGee who finished with 6. Reilly Kelly totaled 15 assists while Xenna Belfield led the defense with 7 digs. Kelly and Rice added 6 digs each.
In the final match of the day, Methodist University was led by Cassidy Hayes who tallied 10 kills and McKayla Walker who followed closely with 9.
Katelyn Rice had a impressive performance leading the team with 11 kills while committing just 1 error. Reilly Kelly added 24 assists while Xenna Belfield tallied 14 digs.
Mary Baldwin College 2-12 (0-3 USA South) travel to Averett on Tuesday before returning home on Thursday to take on non-conference opponent Roanoke College.
