STAUNTON, VA - Eastern Mennonite University used a balanced attack to take a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-15) win over Mary Baldwin University this evening in a non-conference matchup.

The Royals executed a consistent offense and jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the first set.  The visitors improved their offense in the second and third sets on their way to the 3-0 win.

Eastern Mennonite was led by Marla Yoder with 10 kills.  Becca Hardy and Janna Williams added 9 kills each.  Beck Hoskins added 7.

Mary Baldwin's balanced scoring attack was led by Jessica Hickman with 6 kills.  Tatyana Johnson and Brittany Sharon followed with 5 and 4 kills respectively.

Reilly Kelly added 14 assists while the defense was a team effort.  Xenna Belfield and Tatyana Johnson tallied 9 digs each.  Brittany Sharon added 8 digs while Kelly finished with 7.

Mary Baldwin University, 3-7 (0-0 USAS), go on the road to open their USA South Conference schedule this weekend.
