GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mary Baldwin University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 contest at Greensboro in USA South action on Wednesday.

The Fighting Squirrels went down to the Pride 25-19, 25-17, 25-6.

Deoborah Black and Rachel Christian each totaled five kills, while Michaela Beverly finished with four. Nyla Isaac and Emma Tomlinson also deposited a pair of kills. Tomlinson led the team with 16 assists as well.

Defensively, Madison Cash registered a team-best 15 digs and Christain added six.

For the Pride, Sarah Egbers finished with a game-high 12 kills on .308 hitting and Hailey Stout dropped in eight kills of her own. Dixie Fulk finished with 23 assists and Kayce Jo Harris recorded 12 digs.

The Fighting Squirrels return to action on Saturday, Oct. 19, in a USA South Tri-Match. MBU plays William Peace at 2 pm before finishing the day with a match against Salem at 2 pm.
