BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Mary Baldwin women's volleyball team traveled down the road to face off against Bridgewater College. The Fighting Squirrels fell in three sets (10-25, 17-25, 16-25)

MBU is now 1-10 on the season while Bridgewater improves to 9-0. 

Mary Baldwin was led offensively by freshman Rachel Christian who had eight kills and two digs. Emma Tomlinson led the way with 16 assists and one digs, while Madison Cash tallied 13 digs for the Fighting Squirrels. Deborah Black added four kills and two digs. 

Jessica Bissmeyer led the Eagles with 15 assists, six digs, and two kills along with teammate Nadia Valle who added seven kills and two digs. 

The Fighting Squirrels are back in action Thursday, Sept. 19, when they visit Ferrum College in a match set to begin at 7pm.
