STAUNTON, Va. – The Mary Baldwin University men's tennis team played in its first-ever home match at the MBU Tennis Courts against Chowan on Tuesday evening.

The Fighting Squirrels picked up two match wins, but fell to the NCAA Division II program, 7-2.

In doubles, the team of Josiah Lee and Kobina Browne stayed with the tandem of Francisco Salvatori and Job Williamson before ultimately falling 8-2. CU claimed an 8-0 sweep in the No. 1 doubles matchup, while MBU picked up a default win at the third slot.

In singles, MBU picked up a tally at the six position, but fell in straight sets in the other five spots.

The Fighting Squirrels are idle for nearly three weeks as they return to action on March 13 against Alfred.
