Pride Outscores MBU in Second Half For 84-75 win

GREENSBORO, N.C. - After playing to a first-half tie, Greensboro College outscored Mary Baldwin in the second half Saturday to take an 84-75 conference victory.

The game was tied 33-33 at the break, but the Pride jumped out to a nine-point lead early in the second half.

The Squirrels fought back and a jumper by Zach Fullager made it a one-point game, 55-54, with 8:35 left to play. MBU was still within two points on a Brett Asbury layup at the 6:09 mark, but the Squirrels were unable to overtake the Pride.

Vernon Fraley's double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds paced the Squirrels. Tylar Thomas added 16 points and Asbury scored 15.

Mary Baldwinm now 1-7 overall and 1-1 in the conference, returns to action on Dec. 19 when it travels to Shenandoah for a non-conference econtest.
