Box Score Pfieffer outscored Mary Baldwin 20-6 during the final five minutes of the first half to take a 54-39 halftime lead and the Falcons went on to post a 108-90 victory over the Fighting Squirrels in the final game of the regular season.
Both teams were on fire at the offensive end early as they combined to score 31 points before the first media timeout. The Falcons led by five, 18-13, at the under-16 media timeout.
The Squirrels matched the visitors at the offensive end for the next 10 minutes.
Two free throws by Brett Asbury had the Squirrels within two points, 30-28, at the midway point of the first half.
The Falcons pushed their lead to six points, 34-28, before a 5-0 MBU spurt made it a one-point game. After a free throw by MBU's Brandon Cottrell, Quentin Hart and Brandon Stoudamire added buckets to pull the Squirrels to within one, 34-33, with 5:21 left in the half.
The Falcons then took control with the 20-6 run during the remainder of the half to take a 54-39 lead and they led the rest of the wya.
Hart led the Squirrels with 21 points. Stoudamire and Zach Fullagar each finished with 15 points and Fullagar made it a double-double day with 12 rebounds. Tyler Thomas also reached double figures with 14 points.
Pfeiffer's Taylan Rowe led all scorers with 29 points and teammate Elan Muniz came of fthe bench and scored 21 points in 13 minutes.
Mary Baldwin finishes its first season as a collegiate program with an 8-13 overall record and a 7-7 mark in conference play.
