ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Mary Baldwin hit the century mark for the first time this season to take a 100-86 victory Wdnesday night over N.C. Wesleyan in conference action.

Mary Baldwin trailed 46-42 at halftime, but outscored the hosts 58-40 in the second half to pull away for the victory.

MBU led by just three points, 78-75, with 7:13 left to play, but the Squirrels hit the Bishops with a 17-6 flurry to lead 95-81 with 2:40 remaining.

The Fighting Squirrels had six players score in double figures with three players scoring at least 20 points.

Tyler Thomas made 5-of-10 3-pointers to lead the Squirrels with 23 points and Zach Fullagar was a perfect 4-of-4 from long range to finish with 20 points. Vernon Fraley just missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds while guard Quentin Hart added 10 points. The MBU Bench outscored the Bishops' reserves 36-9 as Brett Asbury netted 21 points and Brandon Stoudamire added 12.

Mary Baldwin has won six of its past eight games  and now stands 8-10 overall and 7-4 in conference play. The Squirrels are tied with N.C. Wesleyan for third place in the standings, but MBU holds the tiebreaker by sweeping the season series from the Bishops. The Squirrels are one game behind second place Pfeiffer (6-3) in the loss column. The two teams will play each other twice in the next 10 days. Mary Baldwin travels to Pfeiffer on Friday.
