Wildcats drop Fighting Squirrels, 3-1

 STAUNTON, VA, - The Mary Baldwin University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 contest (19-25, 15-25, 25-23, 8-25)  to Randolph on Tuesday night.

Leading MBU offensively was Rachel Christian as she finished with 11 kills, while Megan Andrews followed with seven. Emily Penny finished with a team-best 18 assists and Soleil Rios Rolon tallied a team-high 15 digs.

The Fighting Squirrels bounced back in the third set with a 25-23 win with some clutch kills by Christian to win the set.

For Randolph, Nikki Hurt and Mackenzie Woodson finished with seven kills each to lead the team, while Jayda Domenech tallied 18 assists to stop the momentum of the Squirrels.

The Fighting Squirrels return to action at home in Staunton, VA tomorrow (9/21) for their first conference game against Southern Virginia University.
