A'Cetta Farrait poured in a game-high 21 points, draining four of the team's six long-range shots, and added six rebounds, four steals and two assists, but the Fighting Squirrels (1-4, 0-2 USA South) were unable to hold off Methodist (2-2, 1-1 USA South) in a USA South Athletic Conference clash Saturday at the PAC, losing by an 81-64 margin.

Codie Heilig chipped in a season-high 11 markers for the Fighting Squirrels, who scored the first 11 points of the game. Â
Methodist was led by Jessica Drake with 19 points while two teammates finished with double-doubles. Aniyah Tate recorded 15 points and 10 rebounds while Kiley Hicks totaled 14 points and 11 boards for the Monarchs, who pulled away from a six-point halftime lead (40-34) during a 25-10 surge in the third quarter.
MBU returns to action Tuesday (11/20) with a non-conference battle at Eastern Mennonite University, beginning at 6 p.m.
