Mary Baldwin held a two-point halftime advantage, but a cold-shooting second half allowed visiting Ferrum to outscore the hosts by 14 points and secure a 67-55 non-conference men's basketball victory over the Fighting Squirrels Wednesday at the MBU PAC. The Fighting Squirrels fell to 3-5 overall this season, 1-4 in home games.

Ferrum, now 9-1 overall, put four players in double figures, led by Bryant Hall with a game-high 18 points. Jikari Johnson (16 pts., 10 rebs.), Alfredo Abel-Rivera (12 pts., 10 rebs.) and Darwin Randolph (10 pts., game-high 13 rebs.) all contributed double-doubles for the visiting Panthers.
MBU was on fire in the first six minutes, jumping out to a 15-3 lead. Hart had seven points during the run. Ferrum answered with 10 straight points during an 18-5 run to take its first lead of the night, 21-20. The teams traded baskets over the last seven minutes of the half before taking a 30-28 lead to the break.

Jaden Ignacio snapped the run with a three-point shot from the top of the key, followed by a Sloan bucket to cut Ferrum's lead to 44-38. But that's as close as the hosts could get as Ferrum outscored MBU 23-17 down the stretch to finish off the victory.
The Panthers finished with a 25-for-58 shooting performance (43.1%), including a 5-for-12 night from long range (43.7%). Ferrum also gained a 49-29 rebounding advantage. MBU finished hitting 19-for-60 from the field (31.7%), including a 9-for-32 effort from outside the arc (28.1%).
