Methodist's Lola Campbell scored her second goal of the season in the 86th minute Saturday, breaking a scoreless tie and sending the second Monarchs (6-6, 5-2 USA South) to a 1-0 USA South women's soccer victory over Mary Baldwin.
The Fighting Squirrels still own seventh place in the conference standings despite the setback. MBU (3-8-2, 2-5 USA South) played a balanced game against the hosts, getting six shots (three on goal) compared to 10 shots for Methodist (four on goal).Â
