In their final career games, Mary Baldwin senior forwards A'Cetta Farrait and Codie Heilig celebrated Senior Day at the PAC by combining for 27 points, 18 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and two steals, but the Fighting Squirrels ended the 2023-24 campaign with an 84-42 loss to North Carolina Wesleyan.

While the Fighting Squirrels finished with a 3-22 overall record, 2-16 in the USA South, they improved over the 2022-23 season with two more overall wins and two more conference victories and they had about another 10 games that finished within 10-point margins - significant improvements for the team.

Farrait led the hosts with 15 points, 11 rebounds four assists and a steal.  It was her fourth double-double of the season.  Heilig chipped in 12 scores, seven boards, an assist, a steal and four of the team's six blocked shots.

Four Battling Bishops (14-11, 14-4 USA South) scored in double figures, led by Johnay Goddard with 17 points and nine rebounds.  Kayrisma Harrison had a supporting double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for NCW, which outscored the hosts by 10 or more points in three of the four quarters to pull away for the win.
