During their last game of the season, the Mary Baldwin University Fighting Squirrels seniors elevate their game to compete with the Brevard College Tornadoes in a nailbiting loss of 7-5.

Mary Baldwin and Brevard's pitching kept the first half of the game to quiet 2-2 score as senior #14 Dylan Weatherly had one of his best outings of the year. The Fighting Squirrels took the lead in the 6th inning thanks to a go-ahead home run by senior #23 Blake French, but the Tornadoes kept the lead as after they scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th inning. In a competative game where each team achieved 12 hits, the little things added up and Brevard was able to walk away with the win in a 7-5 loss for the Squirrels

In a day with awards and tears, the Mary Baldwin baseball seniors decide to step up and compete against the number two cede in the USA South Conference. Four of the seniors had multiple hits during the game. #27 Michael Robertson finishes off his MBU career with 2 hits, 2 runs, a walk, and a stolen base while  #5 Tucker Hensley brought in 3 RBIs to go along with his 2 hits, 1 run, and 1 walk. #18 Josh Lallo was patient at the plate today with his 2 walk game to compliment his 2 hits and 1 RBI, and #23 Blake French shined at the plate as he not only had 3 hits, for he also achieved his first collegiate home run! Freshman #25 Carter Attard also stayed hot as he had another multi-hit game with achieving 2 hits and 1 run in his three at bats.

Mary Baldwin University's baseball team finishes the year with a 7-29 overall record and a 2-19 conference record.
