Mary Baldwin University battled with N.C. Wesleyan in the first half but fell 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
The Battling Bishops got on the board first in the 36th minute, but the Fighting Squirrels answered right back as
Isaiah Williams scored his second goal of the season in the 38th minute to tie the game 1-1 going into halftime.
N.C. Wesleyan pulled away in the second half, scoring three times with goals from Israel Monsanto, Joel McGinnes, and Nicolas Sautua to take the 4-1 win.
The Battling Bishops outshot the Squirrels 22-3, while
Tucker Speak recorded five saves in goal for MBU.
Mary Baldwin will be back at SMA Field on October 18, taking on Pfeiffer at 2:30 as a part of a Mary Baldwin soccer double header.
