Mary Baldwin opened its 2025 Spring men's tennis season with a 7-0 setback against non-conference foe Hampton-Sydney in a match played indoors at Lynchburg, Va.
Sophomore Solomon Hines had the best showing of the day, winning three games at No. 6 singles.Â
Eric Leyton, Elian Jimenez,
Brandon Dewald and Talen Brunson all recorded one game victory in their singles matches. H-S picked up shutout victories in three of the nine matches.
The Fighting Squirrels will return to action Sunday, Feb. 23 when the men's and women's teams travel to Randolph-Macon for a non-conference clash, beginning at 1 p.m.
