Mary Baldwin men's soccer fell to Pfeiffer University 3-0 Saturday afternoon.
The Falcons got off to a quick start, scoring twice in the first 10 minutes to take an early lead. Jaiden Wright scored in the third minute, followed by Alex Michael's goal in the ninth minute to put Pfeiffer ahead 2-0.
The Fighting Squirrels looked to respond in the second half but struggled to find scoring opportunities. Mary Baldwin recorded five shots in the game, while goalkeeper Zachary Caudill made six saves to keep the Falcons from extending their lead for much of the second half.
Pfeiffer added its third goal in the 77th minute when Josh Aguirre-Escobar converted a penalty kick to secure the 3-0 victory.
Mary Baldwin will look to bounce back in its final regular season contest, Wednesday Oct. 28, against Southern Virginia University at home
