Box Score Mary Baldwin women's soccer defeated North Carolina Wesleyan 6-0 Tuesday afternoon.

The Fighting Squirrels' offense jumped on the attack early when junior Kendall Carr found a gap in the defense just outside the penalty box. Carr took the shot, sending the ball into the top-right corner for the first goal of the game.

Mary Baldwin continued to apply pressure as sophomore Rory Patchett delivered a pass to sophomore Joelle Hare, setting her up for her first goal of the game.

The Fighting Squirrels continued their strong offensive showing in the second half, with Hare scoring her second goal of the game.

Sophomore Addison Hannigan joined the scoring in the 76th minute, getting past the defenders for an open-goal finish.

The Bishops struggled to contain Hare, as the Suffolk native completed her hat trick with her third goal of the game. The goal was her 10th of the season and marked her second consecutive hat trick.

Hannigan scored again in the 90th minute to secure the victory for Mary Baldwin.

The Fighting Squirrels will hit the road Saturday, Oct. 10, to take on Methodist University. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
