Despite the perimeter shooting, Pfeiffer's interior scoring proved to be the difference in the opening half, as the Falcons held an 18–10 advantage in points in the paint.
Pfeiffer took control defensively in the second half, protecting the rim with five blocks. Mya Edwards and Nyree Bell each recorded two blocks in the half.
Mary Baldwin continued to compete, highlighted by Bethel's defensive effort as she posted a season-high three blocks. However, the Fighting Squirrels struggled to overcome turnovers, committing 29 in the contest.
Freshman
Shyla Williams led Mary Baldwin in scoring with a season high 17 points, while also recording her third double-double of her career.
Mary Baldwin will return to the road to face Brevard College on Monday, February 9, to conclude the season series. The Tornadoes claimed the first meeting 87–37 on January 6. Tipoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
