GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Mary Baldwin University women's tennis team fell to Guilford, 9-0, on Saturday afternoon.
With the result, the Fighting Squirrels sit at 0-2 on the year, while the Quakers move to 2-2 overall.
In doubles play, the team of Hannah Eastridge and Minori Tedari dropped an 8-2 decision at No. 1 doubles, while Lauren Hodgkins and Samantha Childs teamed up and Summer Wendt and Liz Wine also paired in losses.
GC also swept singles play which saw Childs fight to a 6-2, 6-2 loss at the six slot and Tedari fall 6-1, 6-2 as well.
The Fighting Squirrels open their own schedule on Tuesday, Feb. 25 against Chowan beginning at 3 pm.
