STAUNTON, Va. – The Mary Baldwin University women's tennis team opened its 2020 home schedule in a 9-0 loss to Chowan on Tuesday afternoon.

The Fighting Squirrels are now 0-3 on the season, while Chowan, an NCAA Div. II program, moves to 2-1.

CU's doubles teams swept all three matches in 8-0 fashion and nearly blanked the singles action as well except for a 6-0, 6-1 count from Kosuzu Ishizaka against Alexa Woolson.

The Fighting Squirrels are idle for the rest of the month and after spring break as they return to action on March 13 at home against Alfred.
